How Esder Works With Patients

Most first appointments run 60 to 90 minutes. That length is deliberate: a rushed intake is how diagnoses get missed, and it is the most common complaint from patients who arrive after a poor experience elsewhere. The evaluation covers symptom history, medical background, current and past medications, sleep, and what has already been tried.

Follow-ups are weekly or every other week early on, then every one to three months once a plan is working. Patients keep the same provider throughout. There is no rotating panel of clinicians.

Areas of Focus

Esder works most often with adults who have complex medication histories: people who have cycled through several drugs without a clear result, people who want to reduce or come off a medication safely, and people seeking a second opinion on a diagnosis made years earlier. GeneSight pharmacogenomic testing is available when trial and error has not produced an answer.
